NOTICE FROM THE GENERAL SECRETARY
PURSUANT TO RULE OF ORDER 13

TO MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL SYNOD

Notice is hereby given pursuant to rule 13 of the Rules of Order and Procedure of this General Synod that the following amendments to the Declaration of Principles, the Constitution, the Rules of Order and Procedure and to existing Canons of the General Synod will be proposed for enactment to the 38th Session of the General Synod to be held at Winnipeg, Manitoba, June 19-25, 2007

The Declaration of Principles

1. Resolution A020 - Second Reading of an amendment respecting the eligibility for election as members of the General Synod of clergy of churches in full communion who are licensed by diocesan bishops.

2. Resolution A021 - First reading of amendment to facilitate future amendments of the Declaration of Principles respecting the membership and procedures of the General Synod.

3. Resolution A022 - First reading of amendments to facilitate future amendments of the Declaration of Principles and of Canons respecting worship and discipline.

4. Resolution A023 - First reading of an amendment to give the General Synod authority to provide for the election, consecration, etc. of the National Indigenous Anglican Bishop.

5. Resolution A024 - First reading of an amendment to make the National Indigenous Anglican Bishop a member of the Order of Bishops and of the General Synod.

6. Resolution A025 - First reading of an amendment to give the General Synod authority to provide for the election, consecration, etc. of the Bishop Ordinary to the Canadian Forces.

The Constitution

1. Resolution A040 An amendment respecting the eligibility for election as members of the General Synod of clergy of churches in full communion who are licensed by diocesan bishops.

2. Resolution A041 An amendment respecting voting in the Council of the General Synod.

3. Resolution A042 An amendment to allow members of churches in full communion to be members of Standing Committees of the General Synod.

4. Resolution A043 An amendment to merge or amalgamate the Partners in Mission and Eco-Justice Standing Committees.

5. Resolution A044 An amendment respecting the composition of the Communications and Information Resources Committee.

Rules of Order and Procedure

1. Resolution A060 An amendment to ensure that a motion to close debate will not preclude the proposing of amendments of which notice has been given to the chair and will not deny adequate opportunity for discussion.

2. Resolution A061 An amendment to Section 13 – Notice of Motion.

Canons

1. Resolution A080 Amendments to Canon VIII, the Pension and Benefit Plans Canon.

2. Resolution A081 Amendments to Canon XII, the Continuing Education Plan Canon.

3. Resolution A082 Second reading of amendments to Canon XVII, the Licensing Canon, respecting the revocation of licenses.
