Appendix D: Copyright of the Liturgical Resources of General Synod
- That the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada (henceforth the General Synod) retain copyright to all its liturgical texts.
- That parishes, dioceses, chaplaincies, religious orders, and other institutions of the Anglican Church of Canada have permission to print, free of charge for use only in their institutions and not for sale, liturgical texts copyright by the General Synod, provided they observe whatever reasonable copyright limitations may be prescribed by the General Synod, and provided they seek permission to use texts copyright by other parties and included in General Synod texts.
- That parties and organizations other than parishes, dioceses, chaplaincies, religious orders, and institutions of the Anglican Church of Canada must seek permission to use General Synod texts, and that the General Synod may determine the conditions, and charge a fee or royalty, for such use.
- That the General Secretary act as custodian of liturgical texts copyright by the General Synod, and that ABC Publishing (Anglican Book Centre) or a General Synod agent appointed by the General Secretary act of administrator of the copyright in consultation with the General Secretary and the staff of Faith, Worship and Ministry.
- That the General Synod or a designated agent such as ABC Publishing (Anglican Book Centre) may charge a reasonable price to produce and sell print or electronic resources delivering liturgical texts copyright by the General Synod, but may not charge Anglican parishes, dioceses, chaplaincies, religious orders, and institutions for the duplication of those texts provided that they comply with terms outlined above.
