Dear Archbishop Fred Hiltz:
I really like the program Anglican church’s Five Marks of Mission, chaired by you and Dean Peter G. Elliott.
Previously in the Christ Church Cathedral Vancouver, this Five Marks of Mission has already been explained by Dean Peter, who is the godly man that deserves people’s respect.
After your explanation, it really helps us to understand more clearly about the missions.
I really like the Anglican church’s organization structure, which could let the God’s mission to be done within a system, under the leadership of Archbishop and Bishops.
Regarding the plan for the vision 2019, please let me take the opportunity to express my own opinion as follows:
1, Prayer meeting to pray for the expansion of work of the kingdom of God.coming to the world (kingdom of God coming to those non Christianity oriented countries; kingdom of God coming to the muslin countries), to pray for the unsaved souls and let God guild them to hear the gospel and let them convert to Christ; to pray and ask God’s Holy Spirit to guild Anglican church’s future steps, to pray and ask the Lord to rise up more Christians to work for the kingdom of God.
Bible says:”My House will be called A House of Prayer For all Nations”.(Isaiah 56:7) “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven”(Matthew 18:19)
Prayer is one of ways for Christians to serve God, besides the contemplative prayer, I would suggest the Anglican church to have the regular prayer meeting in each church, esp. prayer meeting for the mission work of kingdom of God and Christians’ own needs.
Three Christians’ prayer together in one Spirit, this type of prayer is very difficult to be broken by the devil. Prayer can change the world.
2, Each church to have the regular bible study group, through the bible study, Christian can find out how God communicate with each one, because the word of God can give people comfort, strength, faith and guidance in the Christian life.
3, Anglican church to support the gospel activities not only in Canada, but also outside of Canada, such as China, Indian, Thailand. ect., which it will be guided by God’s spirit.
Bible says”Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Mattew28:19).
I used to be the missionary in China for about 12 years, the local Christian church, in Wuxi city, Jiangsu Province, was planted and the church building was built by the American Anglican church 200 years ago.
Lord bless you.
