Re: Invitation to Attend 36th General Synod of Anglican Church

The Primate and Officers of General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada are pleased to invite Media participation in the forthcoming Anglican General Synod. You may do this either by joining us in person at Waterloo, Ontario (July 4 -11, 2001) - or, from the newsroom, through regular news updates on the General Synod website (www.anglican.ca/synod).
With this note are included three attachments to help inform you of the flow and potential newsworthiness of the proceedings of our triennial 8-day meeting, comprising nearly 500 church leaders and elected community delegates from across Canada:
Media representatives attending General Synod will have the use of dedicated facilities comprising computer hookups, work stations and interview areas. In addition, live television monitoring will be provided for all sessions from the plenary hall. Media representatives interested in covering General Synod are requested to complete the attached Media Registration Form (by "hard copy" fax or through the web). Upon receipt of registration, we will send copies to all accredited media of the "Convening Circular" (agenda and all supporting documents) as well as a Media Information Kit.
