Amendments to the Constitution (Housekeeping)

Note: The mover and the seconder must be members of the General Synod and be present in the House when the resolution is before the synod for debate.
BE IT RESOLVED:
That the Constitution of the General Synod be amended as follows:
- Subsection 33(f)(i) by striking out the number 35 in the first line and substituting the number 33;
- Subsection 33(f)(ii) by striking out the number 35 in the first line and substituting the number 33;
- Subsection 39(a) by deleting paragraph (iii) and renumbering paragraphs (iv) to (vii) to be paragraphs (iii) to (vi);
- Section 39 by deleting subsection (d) and re-lettering subsections (e) to (m) to be subsections (d) to (l).
- Subsection 42(a) by striking out the number 35 in the second line and substituting the number 33.
EXPLANATORY NOTE/BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Numbers 1, 2 and 5 are housekeeping amendments to correct cross-references between sections in the Constitution.
Numbers 3 and 4 would delete references to the Primate's World Relief and Development Committee as a standing committee of the General Synod. The incorporation of the Fund as a distinct entity with a board of directors obviates the need for the Committee.
