Resolution A032 Handbook - Uniformity of formatting This resolution was carried. moved by: James Sweeny from the Diocese of Quebec Note: The mover and the seconder must be members of the General Synod and be present in the House when the resolution is before the synod for debate. BE IT RESOLVED: That General Synod direct the General Secretary to uniformly re-number and re-letter the articles and sub-sections within the Declaration of Principles, the Constitution, the Rules of Order and Procedure, the Canons and the Appendices prior to the publication of the 13th edition of the Handbook of General Synod EXPLANATORY NOTE/BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Because the contents of the Handbook have been prepared by different persons or committees over a period of years, there is a lack of consistency in the format, numbering, etc. of the material. The resolution would authorize the General Secretary to edit the Handbook using uniform formatting and numbering. The editing would not involve any change in the substance or text of the contents of the Handbook.
