Marriage Outside the Church Building

That this Synod of the Diocese of Niagara send a memorial to the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada requesting it to repeal Section 12, part 11 of Canon XXI: (The Solemnization of Marriage) of the Regulations which makes reference to the Place of Marriages and to replace it with the following:

Marriage may be solemnized in a place so approved by the officiating minister in charge of the matrimonial service and in accordance with the policy or guidelines so established by the said incumbent's diocesan bishop or other such authority.

Marriage Commission

That this Synod of the Diocese of Niagara send a memorial to the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada requesting it to repeal Part IV of Canon XXI (The Ecclesiastical Matrimonial Commission) and to amend or repeal all related Canonical reference, schedules and forms referring to the Ecclesiastical Matrimonial Commission.
