Canon III - amendment re financing the Primacy

BE IT RESOLVED:

That section 14 of Canon III - The Primacy - be amended to read as follows:

14. The financial needs of the Primacy shall be met first from the income of any capital fund designated for such purpose and, second, from the proportional gifts made by the Dioceses.

EXPLANATORY NOTE/BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

This amendment would delete a reference to the General Synod Assessment which no longer exists and substitute a reference to the proportional gifts made by the dioceses.
