The Rev. Maylanne Maybee, ecojustice coordinator, explains in this video how General Synod’s ethical investments are one way of “transforming unjust structures of society”
In the Partners in Mission and Ecojustice (PMEJ) Committee Mandate (2007-2010), the committee outlines their commitment to transforming unjust structures. Their work involves adhering to a set of ethical practices, and in doing so, helping the Anglican Church of Canada understand and participate in God’s mission in the world.
Ms. Maybee acted as an advisor to the Financial Management Department as they discerned how best to invest the church’s money. This is just one of many examples of how the Anglican Church of Canada’s different departments support one another. In this video, Ms. Maybee also talks about how these investments connect with the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund.
