BE IT RESOLVED:

That Canon V - Archives - be amended by:

deleting sections 2 and 3

deleting the words, "and in consultation with the Archives Advisory Board" in Section 5

renumbering the sections accordingly.

EXPLANATORY NOTE/BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

If the change in the structure of the Information Resources Committee (Resolution A-25) is approved, this resolution will be presented to General Synod to bring the Canon in line with the change in the Constitution. It will eliminate the Archives Advisory Board and transfer its functions to the Information Services sub-committee of the Information Resources Committee.
