Donna Bomberry, coordinator for Indigenous Ministries, talks about how her work at General Synod helps “to transform unjust structures of society.”

Indigenous Ministries strengthens and supports the traditionally oppressed Indigenous peoples of Canada, and works with them to improve their spiritual, social, economic and political circumstances. In January 2007, the first National Indigenous Anglican Bishop, the Right Rev. Mark MacDonald, was chosen to provide pastoral and spiritual leadership to this community across Canada.

In this video, Ms. Bomberry speaks about Sacred Circle, a gathering of Aboriginal Anglicans every three to four years. This event is a powerful time to mull over what mission and ministry are about.
