EXPLANATORY NOTE/BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Faith, Worship and Ministry recognizes and gives thanks for the resumption of dialogue between the Anglican Church of Canada and The United Church of Canada over the past six years. The St Brigid Report reflects the broad range of topics explored by the two churches after a long period of abstention from formal dialogue. The dialogue process helpfully identified key issues that deserve further exploration by the two churches.
As the Anglican and United Churches remain committed to Ecumenical Shared Ministries, FWM acknowledges the value of remaining engaged in theological dialogue. Such dialogue offers a forum for exploration of key doctrinal issues which impact upon the effectiveness of such shared ministries.
