Be it resolved that this General Synod:
Approve the amendments to Canon XII and the Regulations effective January 1, 2008 as approved by the Council of General Synod by deleting the underlined portions and adding the bold portions as shown on the attached copy of the Canon and the Regulations.

EXPLANATORY NOTE/BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Rationale
In November 2007, the Council of General Synod approved changes in the Continuing Education Plan effective January 1, 2008, which were required to be made by the Canada Revenue Agency in order to maintain the tax-free status of CEP benefits.
